In terms of day-to-day responsibilities, Executive Assistants provide personal administrative assistance to Executive level staff. Tasks can include, booking meeting rooms, scheduling conferences, managing Executives communications via email and telephone, filing and sorting confidential information and text, collecting and reviewing documents and any general ad-hoc tasks needed by staff.
Given the high pressure of this role you need to be very organised and be able to prioritise workloads efficiently. You also need impeccable communication skills as you will need to follow instructions from a number of Executives and then report back to external and internal clients in an effective way, representing the highest level of management. You need great computer skills to keep on top of databases and will need an in-depth knowledge of company policy and latest developments.
