As a Credit Manager you will be primarily responsible for a regional team or sector and managing the members of this sub-team as a senior credit expert. In this role you will be providing expert credit analysis to support relationship development with important clients and preparing credit recommendations for stakeholders. This involves daily tasks such as assessing client requests and credit risk, developing appropriate solutions for client needs through proposal of products and credit structures. You will also be the point of first contact for internal and external clients as well as an effective and strong leader in your managerial capacity by providing feedback to your team and coordinating workflow.

Normally Credit Managers will need to have amassed a certain level of knowledge and qualifications in order to exceed client expectations. Employers will look for experience in corporate banking, knowledge of pricing strategies, a strong understanding of your particular firm or bank's standing within their market and their consumer products as well as an awareness of current business, industry and country trends.

London offers an attractive yearly salary for Credit Managers, at £51,898, roughly £10,000 more than the national average.
