Several years experience in key account management is normally a prerequisite for such a role, where you would be responsible for growing business by managing existing client relationships, building new working relationships and working with other departments to deliver and develop sales strategy in order to increase sales and expand client base.

This role thus requires organisational skills to manage accounts efficiently and prioritise tasks, as well as those communication and soft skills necessary to build customer relationships externally and maintain the existing client base. A strong sales background is also beneficial, as is the willingness to succeed, a proactive nature and a generally amicable personality, in order to work between departments and coordinate departmental strategy internally to increase business.

You can expect to earn on average £46,933 per year in London, almost £7,000 more than the national average, meaning London continues to attract people into similar roles thanks to the industries the city spans.
