The recruitment market can be a minefield. It’s awash with different choices for both candidates and employers, with lots of different job search journeys.
Joblift has spent time researching and speaking to the recruitment market to really understand what people want from both sides – candidates and employers/recruitment agencies. It ultimately came down to matchmaking. For candidates it’s ‘how can I easily find a job that really suits my background/needs/wants? On the other side ‘where can we find new candidates that are truly suited to the role’
Now this is where our new ‘Job Coach’ function comes in. Job Coach is The Digital Career Advisor for candidates. The Job Coach is a series of questions which enables us to understand more about a candidate’s requirements and aspirations. It’s a deep data profile we build with the candidate.
Below is a little example of some of the questions when we first begin to engage with candidates:
When it comes to searching for a job it’s not just about job title, location and salary!
We truly get to understand our candidates by learning about specific working hours, whether they would rather be remote working from home, or in the office working within a team towards a collective goal. Are company days out and childcare benefits important to them? We will take all of this into consideration before presenting truly unique opportunities. We vary this based upon sectors they’re looking to work in, if they’re a driver we will learn about relevant qualifications and training. If they’re looking to teach, we’ll ask whether they have qualified teacher status.
Now, I could list the 000’s of questions we ask but I’m sure you now get the idea of the lengths we’re going to find the perfect match between candidate and employer.
This is just a small part of what we do to assist our customers in finding outstanding candidates.
