Meet Mathilde, PR & Content Marketing Manager for the US market. She is our creative communicator that builts Joblift’s reputation in America. Have a look at Joblift’s Luna Lovegood and find out why she chose the startup career…
How long have you worked at Joblift?
PR & Content Marketing Manager for the French market for two years and I recently started working for the US market.
What attracted you to a small startup instead of a corporate job?
The idea that there is more to do, more flexibility and people are really passionate about what they are building and working towards. Your hard work is always recognised in a startup allowing you to get credit where it is due compared to a corporate job.
Would you rather have a horrible job but be able to retire in 10 years, or have your dream job but work until the day you die?
The dream job of course! Because then it doesn’t feel like work! Isn’t that what everyone wants to have?
What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
I ate snake, in Malaysia. It is not a good idea. Wouldn’t recommend doing it.
If you were a Harry Potter character, which one would you be?
I think I’m supposed to be a Ravenclaw so I would say Luna Lovegood. For a long time, people have called me weird too so it seems like a perfect match.
What career advice would you give to our readers?
I have only been in the professional world for 4 years, but I would say that following your intuition is always the right decision. It’s important to listen to trusted people’s opinions on your work, how to deal with delicate situations and your next moves, but in the end, if you’re still conflicted, trust that you know what’s best for you.
